Thank you Wally. Done now -with your help.
I had thought of 24ac but couldn`t remember that sort of cattle... I`ve actually been to 14d, couldn`t think of it.
17d, couldn`t see those `cakes` and 22ac - does it have an `s ` on the end ?
I can face the day now !
Mags.

Almost done, but stuck on 14d which I guess is a town near Shrewsbury (so I'm off to get the road atlas) . Also 22a and 24a . I will keep at it. I had to resort to quick solve for 18a (cheat !) :)

I hope it`s all right now to say I`ve got `dynamite` for 11ac, but I`ve looked at it forwards, backwards and upside down :) but still can`t parse it! Was it Chrise said `backwards ? `etimanyd` ???

hi Mags, I am still stuck on 14d in spite of looking at the atlas. Just can't see how the clue works. Duh! and so also stuck on 22a.
Dynamite = ET for the film, many for varied and d for depth.
