I understand the conventions about giving hints/answers but sometimes I just want the answer; time permitting a hint may be better. My principle is that if I have any help in the solution, I won't send it in for a prize.

I guessed (and think I had at the back of my mind) that the pluralised first name of the jazzer was a slang word for money, but couldn't seem to find confirmation of it when I did a websearch on my phone. Now Oxford Dictionaries has confirmed it for me (with your encouragement).
