Have now managed to parse 17d after staring at it far too long

Thanks from me too, Cantersue. i had the first letter `m` which fitted `overly sentimental` but didn`t parse.
I have to give in and ask for help with 2d. I have : ? E ? U ? I ? U. Is it the name of a stately home? Magw.
