@Syzygy...hmm, interesting. I didn't give it a second thought. I think this may be a transatlantic anomaly because although I've probably only ever heard pumps used in a 'pseudo-street' type stylee(!), as a definition I think it works here in the UK. Sorry for any confusion :)

@Wendy...I love a good cat fight ;)

29d was weird- a stroke of luck; I got it with three letters, not knowing who DH was, but figuring he must have literally had that feature. Re pumps: I was certainly misled, but it did occur to me that "you guys" use the word, in that sense, in another sense too. Over here, as Syzzie points out, it means only one "genus", one species of which also has an obscene name (which you wouldn't find even in a Yankee dictionary).
Quite a few excellent clues.

@Les...I can't remember how it worked last month, will you be publishing the solution at some point? I've failed miserably at solving about a third of this one...I am defeated!

I'm with Lionheart. Still got about 10 to solve but feel I must move on with my life!

It's been great fun but I know when I'm beaten.

Thanks to Les and all who set clues, I shall now sit back and await The Revelation.

Well...crossie printed off, large coffee poured...and just about to start!

Life has been getting in the way again...

I will avoid this thread for a bit...

I'm stuck with about a dozen left. A hint on 3d, 30a, 38a or 51a a would be welcome

For 3 down,

Think zero "IT" (for no sex appeal) and SIN for wickedness

3d and 38a don't have typical definitions, rather pointers (I think it's fair to say). For 30a the last word is the definition. For 51a a synonym for the first word should give it to you, though that's not the definition.

Hi Les Hi all
Just to let you know I'm having fun!!!!
Polished off the top-right corner with only mild sweat BUT the rest is a bit here and a bit thereish.
Nonetheless enjoyable and very clever construction Les.
Will nominate you for BEST FACTORUM
Also very clever IT and presentation.
When printing out my little CANON spluttered and proceeded to print on the backside.
Didn't know it could do that.
All the best. Thea
PS I wonder whether when you publish the answers you could dribble them over 2 or 3 days. ---Which might help some tocomplete the final bits themselves THEAENCORE

It must be a bit embarrassing to have a crossword puzzle printed on your backside.
