It had occurred to me that it might be worth asking entrants to parse their clues, as it's not always clear.
Mine was an anagram ('excitedly') of 'many go hame' minus 'me'.

When I queried a result I was told 'it's just a bit of fun'. Seems like that may not have been entirely true.

I'm not sure why understanding the parsing of an obscure clue should stop it being 'a bit of fun'...

excuse me. if you know the answer but are unable to work out how the clue gets there doesn't that mean the clue is a bit iffy. isn't it a bit like jokes. if you have to explain it,it isn't funny.
