Hi Dave; not massively over-cryptic, but posts with explanations if needed;

18 Greedy bloke gets a yes for late night partying on Dec 31
Hog-man-ay

19 Dec 31 – today in Spain, German was received without hesitation.
Spanish for today = ‘HOY’, German was received= inside the ‘Hoy’; without hesitation = without ‘er’ gives ‘GMAN’

26 On Dec 31, during a feed, Hamish gets back leave
animal feed = HAY; Hamish = MAN back leave = OG (‘go’ back)

28 Turnaround by crofter cutting the grass for new year
Turn= GO, around = go around = OG; crofter= MAN ( Scottish) cutting the grass= inside HAY

29 New year’s resolution again? Oh my, I gave up!
= anagram of AGAIN OH MY without the ‘I’

blue moon: In case THEA doesn't see your post, it's the first letters ("starters") of hogmanay. My clue (20), "Aye, my hangover troubles less every day in the Christmas season", is an anagram of "aye my hangover" (troubled) after "every" is subtracted from it (less).
