@hypercat - it's a new thing, only started Monday.

Hi all - Phew I had such a problem registering thought I'd been banned then tried entering my password in lower case and bingo it worked.

Sorry, Chald, I have no idea. Not well up in the footy fraternity!

I did think it might be a joke!

I tried to register under my usual user name and got the message user name has already been taken and enter a valid e-mail address. My original user name was Jimbo. So I registered again using a new user name and it worked. There have been postings on the site from Jimbo who wasn't me but he/she changed theirs to Jimbo1 I think. Ash is trying to do a great clean up job and I sincerely hope it works because I've found most folk on here extremely friendly and helpful.

There were 'test' messages appearing and disappearing yesterday, posted by Jimbo -- I assume that it was someone working on the changes to the site.

Hallo Bullfrog - thank you but why pick on my user name. I managed to register with this one which I don't particularly like but there you go

Maybe you will be able to alter it, there is an edit option
