bbb, you may well be able to register multiple user names, but it will make it more difficult for anyone to post in someone else's name. I wondered about that before you posted, suppose there are always teething problems!

Can anybody tell me if I have to log in every time I enter the forum ?

I tried many times to register, and kept getting a message saying that I hadn't entered a valid e-mail address. It just occurred to me to try entering it without the capital letter it begins with, and lo and behold, this worked.

It seems you can just browse the forum without logging in. But in order to start or reply to a thread, log-in will be requested. You could of course stay logged in all day, while browsing other websites and then return to the forum without having to log in again. Once the computer is switched off, you will automatically be logged out. I think this is right !

Good stuff - and a search facility will be even better!

francis,yes every time,but you should be able to save username and password in your browser so it is autofilled.

Well done for taking this action. Should help to eliminate a lot of the rubbish that has done so much damage to the forum in recent months. I hope that some of those decent solvers who have left may be able to return to a useful and agreeable crossword forum.

thought I didnt have to register last time i used this site...think there are some absolutely brill people here. I always get my answers really quickly.
