I'm sorry but I just don't see the point of crosswords that can only be solved by repeated reference to an atlas, encyclopedia or Google. Where's the challenge in that? I thought this was just a habit of Araucaria but obviously not. The Guardian veers wildly from the insultingly easy to the overwhelmingly smug. Getting hacked off with it.
