twinsman 80 ive got the initials for a degree (edducated man) plus a word meaning discourage..anagram of these

Lisa lippy you're welcome - don't worry about it, we've got used to the voices of disapproval over the years of rainbow quizzes. Thanks so much for 80, had the degree bit but couldn't get the rest. Quizmad, did you hear a load of pennies dropping about 70, so simple when you know the answer. Will now try 63 and 94 before I give it a rest.

ves me with 50, I know I have to transpose country and work it out from there but not managed it yet, 59, which is probably one of the obvious ones and 82.....can only think of alice in wonderland for ideas about that.

Quizmad...don't know what happened to my communication skills there! Was saying thanks for those, so easy when the penny drops. That leaves me with 50, 59, 63 (tried googling with fish and the d word but get so much filthy stuff coming up that I can't look there, and 82....can only think something to do with alice in wonderland.

also stuck on those myself...and like u got the d word..will keep plodding on...

82 - 'curiously'= anagram of the next two words, then google the name for the quotation.

Just found this site and thread and thanks to all for the clues given so far still trying to work out some of them. It is an enjoyable quiz but so very frustrating. I am stuck on several including the following:
25. Amplifying systems cause trouble in empty theatres. (7)
50. Relation arrives in the country ….. (9)
55. The conference was carried by the Principal - a very articulate man. (7)
59. Leader will revise nothing to back retreat. (9)
67. Notices here there's slug in food provided! (8,5)

Any clues on these would be much appreciated.
