I wasn't thinking of removing a character name. Thought it was an era I was looking for.

That was definitely tough but very rewarding. RIP Dysart.

The conventions on transliteration seem to have changed, with the newer forms making one name shorter and another longer than in the copy on my shelves (“A completely new modern translation” it trumpets on the fly leaf - with the date 1964!)

Tough but fun. Has to search shmoop for one spelling and spark notes for the other. I liked the final act of destruction, it must have been tricky to make those high-value scrabble letters fit in!
