I see it now, thank you very much!

As always I find myself falling at the last hurdle.

I have filled the grid, identified the subject matter and got the " loved ones" round the periphery.
What I am struggling with is the instruction to change one letter in the entries for the clues with the extra word.....



A nudge would be very welcome .

Fred, if you have the subject matter, consider how many clues have an extra word and how that number might relate to the thematic character.

Enjoyable and fun. Read them to the children, and actually watched a recent film in which Hugh Grant was a splendid baddy.
