This one must be one of the easiest. I finished without needing to go to this thread!
Probably some super hard ones on their way.

Anyone desperate for a Listener standard crossword should look at this weeks Inquisitor.

I do that most weeks (this Listener belongs in the Spectator magazine).

Saturday's Times Cryptic was trickier

raggedy

Great. One line! understandable preamble. No highlighting. No misspelling in the definition leading to an obscure quotation. No wordplay with an extra letter leading to an obscure quotation.
Bit easy but newcomers can be put off by all the above.

I’ve seen the definition of S and T in Chamber’s, but still can’t see the relevance of the title!

I don’t usually criticise puzzles. I recognise the need for entry level challenges and appreciate the skill (and time) that is needed to construct even a basic Listener.
However I think this one falls short of the standard required for the Listener.
Adding a few thematic entries to the grid and clueing them by wordplay only does not make it a specialist crossword. Indeed once the penny dropped the thematic clues became much easier to solve. I did spend some time wondering if there is a twist that we have all missed but I don’t think so.
Incidentally 29th November is a significant date in terms of the theme.

In weeks like this Mrs Triceratops and I print out an old listener to fill the crossword time we are cheated from!

I was wondering if this esteemed group might share some of your favourites from the years gone by? We only started regularly completing in 2021

I agree with all the previous comments - I have stated before, an easier puzzle is occaisionally welcome if it gets more people involved - For a few years now I have reverted to traditional collection of papers on Saturday ... And the two I complete (Listener/IQ) seems to keep me occupied as if one is easier the other is a work-out (as is the case this week) ...
