Back to the old and easy style. This was almost a write in, although it took a while to parse the second word of 15a. Thanks for a nice start to Sunday.

Good day. Also found this straightforward and for me a record 40 minutes. Usuals in there, still dislike primarilies I'm afraid.

No stand out CoD although I'd opt for 15a. Not parsed a couple of clues yet (19d for example).

A gentle start to the day.

Yes, something of a breeze after yesterday’s jumbo.
I was about to comment that you might have to be a certain age to remember 11a but I see it’s been remade in recent years… I had no idea.

Third mention for 15a already, which I guess indicates how straightforward the rest of it is. Just wondering what purpose 'With tongs' serves in the clue? Something like 'Kills 27, possibly. That's cold' would make more sense to me, but maybe I'm missing something?

I feel I made a smart decision to leave yesterday's prize well alone and wait for today's Everyman.
I'm also with the head-scratchers for 15a's second word.

Don’t you handle 15a with tongs?

Plutocrat - you could 'kill 64' instead.

15a is my first clue attempt rather than the last. I went straight to the (missing) clue 27, hoping to find Trotsky.

Puzzled also by the etc in 6d but noticed its tidied up now. To early to ask for specific help.

Ianwil - sometimes, but not always. To me, it just seems an unnecessary addition to what would otherwise be a neat clue.
