Felt that there were a couple of very dubious homophones in the clues.

eagle - I can see only 2 homophones in the clues, and both seem fine to me, and certainly not ‘very’ dubious.

I’m in trouble.

I have solved 9a, 18a, 19a & 5d, 24d.

I have a feeling 7d is an anagram.

How do you read 1a?
How do you read 8a?

Yes for 7d and so is 1a.
8a is a double definition.

Nice one today. Some easy some puzzlers. LOI was 13d with a doh as it finally dropped. COD 27 with 23 a close second.

I have all the crossers and can guess at the answers to 23a and 20d but cannot parse them from the clues.
Can anyone give me hints?

Didn't love "taking some measure" as a container clue for 20d, the word measure seems superfluous and too misdirecting for my taste.

coffindodger (!)
23a: initials for the two parties separated by a 3-letter abbreviation.
20d: hidden insertion. Don’t look for a sharp tool (the mistake I initially made)!

Thanks Rogissimo and Zanycat.
I certainly agree about the "measure" in clue 20d !

Struggling with 13 and 16 down and 22a - any clues would appreciated so I too can get a PDM with 13d!
