Very enjoyable. 23a is topical! It is so much more fun when you can solve and parse the clues without being totally baffled.
Happy Sunday all and come on England. Bring it home.

It started really well for me, but I cannot parse or make sense of 11 12 or 4

Help with 12 would be appreciated. If only to rule out any errors, I may have.

Hi again Fernie,

12d - 7 letter "relaxes" (as in 'lays about') goes around/'taking in' 4 letter "clubs perhaps" (think 'cards') - definition is "informal attire"

Brill, thanks. I have got 15a wrong. I took the obvious school slang for that.

I have solved 11 clues I think.

1d…I think I have the first 4 letters but I have no idea about the 6 letter word.

If you have the first four letter word you also have the first letter of the second word because swans is us plural.

Then take egret and change one letter. C old not G ood.

Thank you.

Another question: what does FRIEND OF OLIVER MEAN?

I think I have the 5 letter word.
