As expected, a teal roughie. However, don't whose lope.

All complete, but some of the southeast corner (34a, 24 and 28d) was done using the wordplay without understanding the Spoonerisms. Any enlightenment would be welcome.

(I have been trying to post this since yesterday. Recaptcha has been having one of its infuriating periodic doom loops.)

Jack, the Spoonerisms (I think) are 34a. 'know', be informed of + 'dee', Scots word for end (die)
24d. 'meal', food + 'ah', alas
28d. 'door', entrance + 'so', thus

You are welcome, Jack. I have a niggle with 25a. Gold I found concealed in mine stores (6)
The entry is obvious, but if 'gold' is 'or', I don't quite see the rest.

25a. Gold is part of the spoonerism
