I hope that by wading in to the debate I shan't offend anybody; because I very much appreciate the tips that contributors to this forum have given me over the last 18 or so months and long may it continue. I do, however, feel that this forum might benefit from a 'community' rather than a 'competitive' ethos. In a community we are in competition only with ourselves - thus even when confronted with a (comparatively) easy Listener, we can still delight in beating the stop watch. Yes, I finished this one in a few hours but last year I would have taken 2 days. So I am satisfied with my effort and grateful that somebody took the time to compile this challenge. If we are a community - and a friendly one - we should be supportive of all members of the community whether newbies, setters or veterans. Yes, let's be honest about our preferences, hard or easy, but let's have a thought for how our comments come across to each other. Or, indeed, to a casual outside observer. The comments on easier Listeners make me chuckle, but we could sometimes be accused of being rather like a top set at an elite boarding school. I'm assuming some of you, at least, remember what it was like in the top set at an elite boarding school. :)
