Very much enjoyed that but stuck on the last letter of 26a, which is a bit frustrating. I can't solve the clue and I've tried every possible anagram. Is the answer in Chambers?

Opt0, the coil is a snake and 'the way to follow' is spiritual.

All done, despite being in a smallish house which is being entirely decorated (hence a certain degree of chaos), but I am not quite sure what to do with the instruction. Is the change a very minor one? And what is meant to happen to C, S and G? I think they are just highlighted and they do not disappear?

Foinaven - the letter chosen for he change is non-arbitrary.

Admittedly a lot of work for a tiny detail of icing… but beautifully done.

Very clever and satisfying. I found this one quite tricky, but steady work paid off. The way the titles replace is neatly done. It’s a bit of a pity the down “clue” answer doesn’t have a significance I can spot, but there’s so much else going on I can hardly complain! Thank you lath.

Just one parsing I can’t crack. I have the answer, as it’s all checked letters, and it fits the definition, and I know what letter is extra, but I just can’t figure out the wordplay. If anyone can nudge me to see it that will just close off the effort :-) It’s 22d, “gentleman rises to hug mostly top birds”.
