Well done Mattrom and commiseration s Jon. Absolutely love the multiple vote system. However, TBH, I’ve always found the idea of first place considerations to be a bit confusing particularly on light of multiple 2 votes and occasional 3 votes. I would prefer to look purely at the total of votes and put the onus back on the setter in the event of a tie. Thoughts?

I'm inclined to agree with Paul. I too had a very complicated tie between Jono and Bacchanal not so long ago.
First place etc system doesn't really work well unless everyone votes 3,2,1. I would suggest in the case of a tie, next count the total number of votes for all clues entered by the two contestants and if it is still tied, the host decides

Deciding by looking at votes for other clues sounds a good idea, but it might have unwanted consequences - more multiple entries?
I usually enter just one; very occasionally (as in this case), two.

On the rules, personally I'd say the setter has enough to do!

I also agree that 2pt scoring or "winning" someone's votes is a random measure of a clue strength.

Perhaps we just say that both win?

The one who won most recently lets the other host for the next week.
