Gitto - I'm guessing you have an issue with a 4 word entry. Have you added up the 'Scrabble' values of all the unclued/unchecked letters in the puzzle? If you get to 29 rather than 28 that might tell you something. (Tough to be helpful without saying too much?)

"Enthusiastically supports" is the def; check out Bradford's for "preposterous"

"I monotonously repeat" is Def

"Once a hustler" is an obs term for a prostitute

Thanks to those who helped with my unknown seven letter answers. With your help I gained a foothold, and rapidly filled in 90% of the grid. I still have no real idea of what's going on!

I was in that situation Dylan til I decoded the message from the extra letters. Then all fell beautifully into place.

An absolute belter as far as I'm concerned (but then I'm a big fan of the jigsaw type puzzles).

Don't understand the wordplay for Corbett's....., but i'm happy the answer is right so not too concerned, but would appreciate a hint.

Penny dropped. Finished - except have a clash with what I thought was the 'Odd marks' solution and 19d.
Can someone help by fully parsing Odd marks?
