Druh 8d is something a gardener might do with fallen leaves, it also means earning lots of money.

Parsing of both 15a and 25a escape me. Any hints please.

13d caused a lot of head scratching until I realized my computer font was playing tricks !

15a: “lacking at first” indicates take off first letter (ie “o”) and “after training” means you take an anagram of the remaining letters.

25a: DOS comes from hairDOS and H for hard

Only just twigged the parsing for the middle word in 3 down! It was the 1st one I solved, last one I understood! I liked this Everyman.

I can think f a 4 letter word to kiss -e-k but can't see where audacity comes in.

I was cudgelling my brains for 6d LOI, ended up listing all words that fitted. D'oh, *that* sort of 'kindly'! Nicely misled.

I thought of two possible answers for ?e?k that mean kiss, but I didn't know either could mean audacity as well. Needed a trip to Chambers to get the right one.
