I have everything except 22 - am sure it must be synonym of poorly, and I see "ton" may be a single letter - but can't justify the wordplay ...

ah - got it ...pdm! dear me, how obvious. Good fun altogether, I thought. Karla not quite as evil as his namesake ...

It first seemed to me that 22 and 23 have two different correct ways to be entered into the grid. But there’s one more implied instruction. For consistency. Agreed?
