Ok - it’s none of those down clues

I suppose 1d could be normal, but it could also be thematic (by moving the "I") - if that is so then it is a bit naughty, and an oversight by the editors.

Came to this rather late as on holiday last week and could not access until yesterday. I seem to be missing several of the down corrections, though I am pretty sure what the answers are.

Specifically, I think 4d and 37d are both misprint clues, and there must be another one somewhere.

The reference in 14 across eluded me and I had to use Google. I am a bit old to watch this sort of stuff.

h1982 I said thanks but I still can't see an Italian aspect! There seem to be only two options, one producing three shorter words and one producing nothing meaningful. Do two of the four start in Iac?

Foinaven, are you replying on the correct thread?

I have decided Id must be one of the four altered entries to go with the other 3 certainties that I have. My only reservation about that it gives me 3 senses of the theme (if I understand that correctly).
