Surely the "quotation" should be more quotable - and quoted - than this one? OK puzzle until then.

Who is KC?!
Grid filled ,but puzzled about the word play for 28ac - where is "group", 34dn - can't see any "joke" and 31dn- Exodus writer....


I have the 12 letter word mentioned previously, but now puzzling. Is the quotation in ODQ?

34 - joke is “one”
31 - Google the writer

Don’t think it’s in ODQ but Google finds it readily

28Ac ‘group’ indicates a group of the letters in the final two words.

34Dn Check chambers for your 3 letters you have for ‘joke’.

Thanks to both - I now have a clash between 40ac and 34 dn!

It seems the answer in 31dn is not an English word, but there's no indication of this in the clue?

I am in deep trouble. I have a full grid and the 12 letter word but........

1) I only have one clash, 1ac with a down answer

2) Only one word seems to fit 31d, but I don't know why and it only has 3 letters of the writer in it.

3) I do not know what "the across answers thematic items" means

Ignore my third problem, I've stopped being stupid!!!
