I've completed all but 85 Across and the only name that I can find that fits (an Aussie actor) does not meet the criterion. Could it be a local UK celebrity?

There used to be pages advertising job vacancies in newspapers. The clue answer is an abbreviation, colloquial version two-word phrase, of the term.

Can anyone help me, please, to parse 42a (Animal slept briefly, dropping head and curling round (5)); and 63a (Thinking of briefly helping people on islands (13))?

Can’t make much of them other than the definitions although there’s no doubt of the answers. 42 might nearly make sense if it were ‘sleep’ briefly rather than ‘slept’.
