Very fitting that most of the entries came from Jon and Paul, but the lack of entries from George and Ringo was, to be honest, a bit disappointing (though in George's case, understandable).
I wish I could say that I settled on a Fab Four right away, but in fact I had a short(ish) list of seven: mattrom 5 (we don't get many well-done cryptic defs here), paul 9, paul 12, dorrien 8/darla 14 (similar ideas), paulh 20, and jono 24. The finals matched paul 12 versus jono 24, both of which had great wordplay, but I ultimately went with the one whose definition I like a bit better, paul 12:
