Found it, thanks. Oof - a minor factoid buried halfway down a lengthy Wiki article. Maybe this is GK in the UK, but not very foreigner-friendly!

No, it’s pretty obscure, and as you say, a very minor fact in a longish article. I was merely grateful it wasn’t related to the other thematic name, as I know nothing of that and don’t intend to start now

Thank you, Cranberry. A fun solve. I confess that I warm very much more to the first example (maybe it’s the “impeccable taste in music”) than the second… “earnest but irredeemably dull”.

Quisling; on the contrary ,I think you should start as soon as you can getting to know the first thematic name and all that goes with that. I don’t think you will regret the effort.

9A Warm beer upset (ramblers).
Apparently the answer is Purl double definition 3 & 4 Chambers.
But you could also have Mull double definition 2 & 7 Chambers.

11D (Delicatessen's) run right out of fresh American sumac (4).
I think I have the answer to this but can't parse it.

11d - I think it's single letter "run" then the letter on the far "right of fresh" so h then usual 2 letter American.

I'm pretty much done but parsing help with 30d and 31d would be appreciated.

30d - 2 words for 'ultimately', missing last letter ('train' = tail).
31d - sounds like '(to) rabbit' (slang).
