Ah, the River Leven. All of 8 miles long, according to Wikipedia, so easy to miss.

Many of the solutions are winning entires, but to achieve a good balance of different clue types and to include as many different setters as possible, this was not always the case.

Ah, yes. Otherwise there would be too many anagrams :)
