Grid filled, and message received, although I can't see how the misprint in 15d works.

I have one item, but can't see any ohers. Are they arranged as rectangular blocks? What does "appropriate form" mean? I can see a couple of others potentially, but not neatly organised....

15d misprint involves another clue number.

Like cypherhouse, I have the eighth item and now looking for the other seven. I am struggling to parse 32a,17d and 28d. 32a is, I think, normal and I have the misprints for the 2 down clues - most frustrating.

Sorted 32a and 28d - new word for volume to me.

I am making the usual fair copy to send to St Albans, but the instruction to 'draw a container around each of the seven constituent items' is difficult to execute. Even with red ink, the rectangle does not stand out very well . The bar lines get in the way. What I would like to do is to highlight the items, but I think that would be marked wrong.

Now to return to 4775. The coding part is one of the most tiresome things I have ever attempted, and I inevitably make mistakes and have to go back to the start. I am keeping a log which might help. This is the most difficult puzzle I have ever attempted. If I don't succeed today I will have to give in.

Still only one thematic item found, and I'm not sure if I'm looking for neat shapes?

Foinhaven, a synonym for draw is depict - so to mark incorrectly highlighted items that are clearly and separately shown would IMO be very unfair. I have all 8 items, still can't parse 17d and do not understand why there are not considerably more across clues with omitted letters in the wordplay.

dylan, If what I have is correct, they are all neat shapes that comply with the preamble. Mind you, I am often wrong.

I hope so. It would certainly make it easier for JG to check that the puzzle has been properly solved.

Incidentally, I think there is a rogue eighth item lurking in the completed grid. It is clearly not intended since the rest of the process would not work, and it stretches the theme a bit, but it is a possible source of confusion.
