In regards to your desire to change your username: as Paul mentioned, my overall transition has indeed been much more consequential, but for this forum I did as Norah originally suggested, and Buddy echoed, and just registered a new account.

Sorry for not voting. I have a bad habit of participating, and then when sunday afternoon rolls around, completely forgetting to cast my ballot. I'll set a reminder next time.

Thanks for all the advice on handle change. I tried the re-registration process and discovered that you can't use the same email address. No problem there as I do have another, little used, one. However, PaulH is already taken so I am having another think. No rush.
