? ? ? e ? I think it must be 'greek' but it does not seem to parse correctly.
I will be grateful if anyone is kind enough to help. I have pretty much finished the rest of it so I may be able to help others.

15d seems like it could be BLIGHTY (LIGHT inside BY), but that doesn't seem sufficiently Viz-like.

16d appears to be a hidden: wherE ARSEhole...EARSE is apparently a Celtic language. Perhaps your post misplaced the E in ARSE?

Yeah, I can see the logic in that - however, I still think it must be greek -
as in: Aristotle's (native) tongue, but still cannot parse the arsehole.

Aris and Aristotle both have connotations in Cockney rhyming slang. Don’t know whether that helps.

I think it is just a double definition. If you Google “Greek slang meaning” you should see it.

thanks Useby and Klazomaniac, Yes it's that 'R' which stops the arsehole being parsed in a satisfactory manner so to speak. I wonder if it is a mistake by the crossword setter - Anus? it has happened before once or twice.

Ah thanks Quisling, I can see it now. I must admit I hadn't even considered anal sex while attempting to parse that arsehole.
