With two more Stateside votes to come in it could be a close one…

Peter @36, I used to see the comic strip Andy Capp in our papers over here. I recall Andy and Flo called each other pet. Just looked it up and sure enough they are from those parts.

@Darla at 43. Andy Capp in the USA! What on earth did you make of it? I see the actor that played Andy (James Bolam) in a TV series regularly out and about locally...he lives in the south east of England but was also a 'typical Geordie' in The Likely Lads.

'Geordie' has an accent, a vocabulary and a delivery that I really like. 👍

Thanks to all who entered this weekend’s challenge. It was a close finish with three contestants sharing silver on 7 votes: Mattrom@7, Dorrien@19 and Aristo@25.

However, just nudging ahead on 8 is Paul@10 with…

Vacuous horny single tenant finds love (5)

Congratulations Paul here are your prizes…

Hive action https://youtu.be/xnhmxNoo4EY
Oh honey! https://youtu.be/nwgbfriHWt8

Surprised no one went with a (p)honey construction and, Mattrom, “Mel B” would have received a vote from me!
Cheers all!

Well done Paul
Thanks jono, and I should have said thank you for answering my question. I appreciate the votes and enjoyed this foray.

I read somewhere that we are protecting the wrong kind of bees, that each mason bee pollinates 120 times more flowers that a honey bee. Yes, but... they don't make honey!
