Hi Dorrien, I think it's a Scots word for 'to call', 'ca'

Hi Dorrien, “Sandy’s call” was intended to indicate a Scottish word word call -> “CA”
(see “Sandy” and “ca” in Chambers, perhaps a bit obscure! :-)
