All done. Rhyming pair:- check.
Cannot parse 17a though I have it. Thought it would be to do with "the GOAT" but it ain't.

Clarkgwent, 17a is an anagram, with 'struggle' as the indicator.

Strange puzzle. I found most of it very easy, but struggled with a few clues, especially 17 and 21. Had to set the puzzle aside for an hour, and got 21 upon resuming.
FOI 1a, LOI 21.
Trademarks all present and accounted for.
Didn't find any really outstanding clues. Going with 20 as COD over 4d, 7, 9 and 16.

17: defn. is "Heavyweight", the 3d and 4th words of the clue are a hint about the sense in which "heavyweight" is intended. It took me a long time to deduce the parsing, particularly the anagrist (fodder).

I was doing fine o this until the last three: 21, 20 & 19. Agree with geeker that there aren’t any outstanding clues, but I did think they are all decent.

I liked 11a. Only got 8a, even after all the crossers were filled in, because I knew it had to be one of the rhyming pair. Good fun.

Three 'hiddens' seems a bit excessive (especially as they are all in the same region), and were there more anagrams than usual too? Certainly felt like it. All in all one of those occasional strange Everymans that seems to be the work of someone else entirely, but we've been told that's never the case so ...

I've never actually heard the expression in 8a used although there wasn't any alternative as to what it could be??
