Well done Jono - bad luck Buddy. I think in a case where the result is not clear cut the host should wait until the cut-off time before wrapping things up. Another participant could do the honours if needs be.

I`m being nagged for using an ad-blocker - which I`m not prepared to disable, so my future presence on the forum might also be in doubt, sadly!

Tyke, what form does your “nagging” take? I use ad-blockers without any issues.

I have to click on `Continue without supporting us` to get rid of it but it keeps coming back!

That’s annoying. I’ve seen something similar on other sites, but not here.
Have you tried disabling the Adblocker and then turning it back on, or using a different browser? That’s about as far as my IT support knowledge goes I’m afraid!

I'm on my phone now - the problem is with my desktop - I'll have a fiddle with it tomorrow - thanks for the advice

Tyke - I've run into it too on Firefox this week. Turned it off then on again, more than once perhaps. Today it's working ok with it on so not sure what's happening. Totally agree that with it off the advertising is way too intrusive, Will try on other browsers if they make it impossible again.

I use Chrome on a desktop with Adblock Plus and have not been afflicted with ads. But many posts show with large blank gaps where I assume the ads would be placed.

Thanks all - I also use Chrome with Adblock Plus - no problems today, everything back to normal! I can cope with the large gaps but won`t be nagged!

I do see (relatively nonintrusive) ads in the right column of the screen, outside the posting area. Willing to deal with those. Have never gotten the "turn off your adblocker" message.
