52a is my last one still missing too. (Although I have two options for 45d depending on the right answer for 52a). I'm afraid the hints here haven't helped me through my fog of stupidity.

I'm now assuming one of my crossers is wrong. I have CU*T**. Is one (or more) of those wrong?

I've those letters for 52a as well and just cannot see it. And the Bells are all defeating me too! I've not seen any hints for 26d, am I missing something obvious? A wee hint would be great and might crack the rest. Have enjoyed working through this even though I'm floored with a nasty cold.

I think it's a u as this fits better with presents for girls (as does the answer for 56)

The Bells penny dropped with me when I got the crossers for 10d and the obvious answer rang a bell. I'm sure these Bells appeared in a previous Guardian prize over the last couple of years. It's names of a family you're looking for.

And 26d is one where I'm confident of the answer but can't fully parse it. The definition is an impressive version of the last word in the clue, which I thought could be a double definition with the first word of the clue. I can't see how the intervening words add to the clue.

Still stumped by 26d though, my last one. I'd love a hint.
