will4jan, I can't take credit for pointing to the Meet the Setter Everyman reveal; I noticed the link on 225, whose blog of the prior week's Everyman appears just as the Guardian posts the current week.

Really nice surprise to see Everyman posting, thanks to Mr. Connor.

Setters every once in a while post to this forum, but in my experience far more often to 225 or the Guardian daily puzzle comments section.

Maybe I'm stupid, or maybe I don't know some Britishism (e.g. 11D) but I can't figure out 19D. I've narrowed it down to three potential words, but none of them seem to parse. Help!

Hi Lexo,

19d - is a double definition. The first is "discovered the truth" and the second relies on an informal usage of "corporation" as "belly or tummy", so is 'what neglected (or empty) belly may have done' - hope that helps:-)

Thanks! It was a combination of a Britishism and outdated slang ;-)
