Many thanks, friends. I really appreciate your comments. I always look in and I usually get grumpy comments that mine are too easy and were solved while the froth settled on the coffee (yes, I know I set one of the year's easiest Listener crosswords but they do get a record number of solvers and hopefully encourage newcomers to have a go).

Once I had the names, the Q&A was easy enough to find online and I've always enjoyed learning about the subject matter so that was a bonus.

Can't parse 31d for the life of me despite having the extra letter but it's early days so I'll ponder on it over the weekend.

... and, of course, I see it within minutes of posting:-)

I agree with all the previous posts however I still have to sort out the parsing in a couple of clues.
