Thanks Quisling, there were only 3 options but I had the feeling 'a log' was too generic, but also thought the one ending M was also too vague so opted for the one that was at least the same material - maybe I've gone wrong somewhere else!

If you rejected “a log” I’m not sure what you settled on.

I think the one ending M is okay. A slight stretch, perhaps, in that it needs to undergo a process, but I don’t think Kruger could have clued the 7 letter alternative easily.

My usual caveat: I could be wrong, of course

I did settle on 'a log' but wasn't happy with it so that's why I wanted to double-check it on here .. and good job I did!

Brendan, I too started with “a log”, but I felt it was so weak for Kruger I carried on. I may be wrong, of course. I’ll bet 1/20 ***M, 16/1 A LOG. Cash in advance (no crypto)

Coming very late to this I have 10 of the 11, and I think 21 must be the eleventh, but I can't see why. I also have the 13 extra letters, and I sort of know what I'm looking for, but that's where I hit the wall. It's not one word. Would the breakdown be helpful?
