Hi Jack,

Assuming I've got the correct phrase, I have 2 R misprints, one in 24a and the other in 11d and the T misprint in 47a.

I have 8 additions and 3 subtractions.

Thanks, Brendan. Old eyes and newsprint! I had read the relevant letters in 24 and 47 across as being what they should be and not as what they are. I shall have to get a brighter bulb in my lamp!

Thanks Jack, I actually did the exact same thing with 47a, it wasn't until I went back over everything that I finally saw it!

Is my missing addition (a rather obscure one) in 6 across or, as I parsed it, is the first word doing double duty as definition and first part of the wordplay?

I haven’t got the puzzle on me, but if it’s at top right, and your answer is a bit of a bore, it’s the addition

Before I put this one away can I get some clarification for 34a - I have it as thematic with A followed by a 3 letter trunk

The other themed answers are all specific types so wonder if am left a bit unsure.

I think not, Brendan. 34a is thematic, and while the addition is letters 3-6, it’s just one word.
