It's with sadness, and at the request of his wife, Ann, that I'm letting you know of the sudden passing of JWS - Jeff.

A very knowledgeable man, Jeff had been an enthusiastic contributor to Peer Review right from its beginnings, to date, He provided us with both very clever and humorous clues. Ann informs me that he drove her mad with it at times!

Jeff introduced me to PR a number of years ago, for which I am indebted.

He will be sorely missed.

Although we have no knowledge of the gentleman, we expect Jeff was an interesting character - like most of the contributors- you have to be if you’re involved with crosswords. Our condolences.
