As things have been quiet for a while, I'll sum up a bit early - in about 15 minutes. I'm off to see the 'Sculpture by the Sea' exhibition, and want to get there before the crowds arrive.

I've enjoyed working through all your entries – thanks to those who contributed this week.
Touches I liked were; Buddy's 'Rafa and Sock', and his algebraic? 11, Jono's 'Exeter', Dorrien's 'Bounty man', the homophones from Chrise 16 & Tyke 21/22, FJ's Spoonerism 18, the subtractive anagrams from Jono 8, Simplesimon 17.
My short list included; Paul 2 (I preferred it to 4), Simplesimon 10 (made me laugh), Buddy 11, Aristo 23.
As this week's winner, I've chosen Aristo's quirky 23 with a definition I hadn't encountered previously (not as the full word, anyway)

He’s spying from a distance, under cover of a tarpaulin

Well done, Aristo! Your prizes are some, music

Many thanks Mattrom and congrats Aristo, I hadn’t associated tar and tarpaulin before, nice one :-)

congrats aristo (i'm struggling to see the definition too), and thanks mattrom, also for the mention.
i particularly enjoyed the second clip. seas were "roads" long before there were roads - there are still communities on the west coast of scotland only accesible be sea (inverie on knoydart, for instance).
also many of us here probably remember thor heyerdahl's kon-tiki expedition, which was intended to show that the pacific islands could have been colonised from south america. dna technology has demonstrated this idea to be totally incorrect!
