I've got the same cookie problem so it hasn't gone away . I'm using a Chromebook

Ash has replied to my email, he says that using Ad Blockers could be part of the problem, as follows :

“We can't guarantee the site will function correctly with an ad blocker installed.”

Thanks Norah and thanks to Ash for pointing to the source of the issue.
I turned off my ad blocker, rebooted my iPad and then turned the blocker back on and the problem has gone away.

I don't use an ad-blocker but I am still having the various problems. I also agree with the quality of the recent captcha pictures.
