Every time I change pages on the site now, it asks me to accept recommended settings for cookies or manage settings. Manage settings goes nowhere (spinning arrow icon). Accepting recommended settings lets me proceed but, obviously, is not making a permanent change.
Firefox 104.02 Windows 10. There is a crosswordsolver.org cookie in the system. Anyone else got this? TIA.

I'm having the same problem with Windows 10 on Microsoft Edge on my desktop. I don't get it on my laptop (again Windows 10 on Microsoft Edge) but there I get a pop-up advert which obscures the text each time I change pages.

Yes, exactly the same problem in iOS on iPhone and iPad. Not when using the laptop. Started to see this yesterday

I've also got uBlock to stop unwanted popup ads, but that's been on for ages.

Looks like one for the folks in the backroom.

Hi, Norah, I’ve sent you an email with a screen shot of the problem. One for Ash I suspect.

No problems here with iPadOS15.7( safari ) or laptop using Firefox browser.
I sometimes get the green pop-up asking me to accept recommended cookies or manage settings. I always accept recommended cookies and proceed to log in wiith no problems.
I always install latest updates on both devices

The only problem I have lately is with the reCaptcha pictures.
Yesterday I had 8 different pictures and almost gave up trying to answer a post.

Just installed iOS 16.0 on iPhone and it fixed the problem

Jazz, Captcha drives me potty at times but Ash says there is nothing he can do about how it operates, it’s totally beyond his control. It is a necessary evil we will have to put up with unfortunately, blame the spammers of this world.

Yes, of course I accept that Captcha is necessary .
Maybe it's my eyesight, but the batch of pictures lately have been very blurred, and occasionally it asks for things which do not appear to be there at all.

I have just checked my smartphone and the problem with the green pop-up is there, but I never use the phone for this site.
