Another short puzzle if you’d like to have a go.

In 10 clues the definitions (no more than two words) have been swapped so that they no longer reside in the same clue as their wordplay and should be swapped back to enable solving. Surface reading will generally make more sense once definitions are placed in the correct clues. The initial letters of solutions in clue order might describe this state of affairs and completed solutions contain a pangram. The one remaining clue alludes to a possible use for the other solutions.

2. Rum bid by partners involved in a deal (5)
3. New arrangement like a puzzle with beastly end game? (12)
4. Perplexing small village turned into cathedral city (6)
5. Popular mischief maker embraces deadly tear (10)
6. Thrill peculiarly made square (10)
7. What schoolmaster requires to come out from the classroom (7,9)
8. Portuguese rebellion defeated rogue elements causing bustling (5)
9. Skipper’s one with yen for trouble (5)
10. Perform dance again to pull (5)
11. Ball someone across the pond (4)

Thanks Jono! Very good fun. I was lucky to guess the word made by the initials after solving just a few. Certainly made life easier

Thanks. On first read-through a short while ago, I managed to find 6 answers and their corresponding wordplay.
I also have the 10-letter word which I guessed from my answers.
The answer with 6,9 I think I have but unsure of the 9.
Can I ask if the first begins with A?
If you don't want to give hints, then back to the drawing board

Hi Jazz, your A is correct and I suspect you’ve guessed the second word correctly.

I was a bit worried about the second word as I couldn’t find a way for the solver to be certain they had it correctly (this is where a grid with crossers comes in handy!).

Perhaps I can just say that (7,9) could equally be a portmanteau word of (8) which we all know but is not in Chambers ;-)

I am still stuck with just six solved.
My unsolved should start with ( I think ) C,P,O, R and S
