I wasn't convinced by the definition for 14d. Wasn't the other half the......?

24a - 4 letter "break" as in damage or destroy goes inside 7 letter "crazy" minus its last letter/mostly - definition is "book full of it" with "it" being the usual crossword euphemism - it's not a common word but you'll know it when you see it.

I haven't got 24ac yet or two of the crossers. I'm having trouble with south-east corner. Somebody said it was easy - not for me! Please can I have a hint for 18d and what is the definition for 27ac.

I haven't got 20d as my brain freezes when I see the word football. I have to say this includes all sport. I'm not watching the athletics either.

I'm also intrigued by 22ac. Again, what is the definition.

Is 25ac a Thai island?

22: defn "foul air"

25: Island, not Thai (tricky misdirect there)

18d- 2 letter "marks" go inside "person setting" and 4 letter "exam" - definition is "wrong"

27a - definition is "perhaps ham" nothing to do with meat thought

22a - definition is "foul air"
