Hi Mystogre,

I think you're right - I didn't notice any of the usual Everyman trademarks, be they alliteration or rhyming pairs.

I do sometimes enjoy making up little stories out of answers eg:-

13d, 2d in 24a at 11a, 3d, 15a and 16a, 18d to get a 19d, 5d 😃

Agree that it didn’t seem to have as much of an Everyman feel. I have the answer for 15a, but not sure why, unless it’s a cricket reference. I also enjoyed 19a. I’m not usually a fan of the device, but the way the tables were turned was brilliant.

Mathprof, re 15, yes you’re right to think cricket.
Agree with earlier comments, I also noticed one answer appeared last week as well, which is slightly odd.

Conversely I found this easier than yesterday’s prize - but we’re all wired differently! I found this extremely enjoyable with lots of witty misdirections. 19a was indeed clever but my LOI and the one that made me roll my eyes and smile was 5d.

I found this fairly easy so far, but I still have 6 to solve, including the "male, hairy". I have every other letter but am stumped

Good day. 19a is already my COD. Thought it was very good and a different spin on the normal reverence! But still stuck on 6 clues. Any chance of a hint on 16. I have ? ? ? ? T ? H.

Definitely some trickier clues than usual, but still the Everyman trademarks: primarily, rhyming pair and self-deprecation.
