20 across - word for sword with a missing letter followed by a reversed word for keep missing an abbreviation for knight

21 across - abbreviation for red cross missing a letter followed by a posh car with the roman numeral two around.

23 across - abbreviation for Vatican City followed by the wife of the God Siva with a missing letter

Like you I have three of the names I think, though goggling them didn’t help me.
Still an all, I’m giving this puzzle a good run for its money, which makes me very happy, as usually, I just cannot fathom the instructions or the clues.
At least it’s keeping me occupied during this heat, when it’s impossible to do anything else.

Well, I have the 4 names now and the project, all highlighted which then helped me with some of the answers.

I still have 4 I can’t get:
1A. 15A. 4D. 9D.
Even though I have nearly every letter.

Callme... 9 D involves a word that sounds like ('we hear') an Army rank, just below brigadier. The answer means the innards of something, the essence, substance.

1 A has the usual Open University with a a four-letter word for 'job' inside, that word losing an internal letter.
