I have two sequences of equal length but can't find a third using the obvious parameters. Do I need to think laterally or check my maths? Grateful for a hint.

Ozzy, no need for lateral thinking. If your first two sequences are correct, you just need to try another parameter different to your first two. You won’t need to go far at all.

Thanks Useby, but I am frustrated that I can't make those parameters work. I am sure that the sequences I have are correct because they both finish in the same neat way. I will keep wrestling.

Ozzy, maybe if you google the final numbers of the two sequences you have you might find the third, and that might kickstart you?

Thanks. Quisling, that was a brilliant hint and I learned a new term as well 😊

A lovely numerical puzzle it is just so neat, as ever from Elap.

Except I just can't rationalise one thing...

According to my notes, I haven't used my answers to 13a or 22d in the thematic context.

Everything else tallies well, can anyone put me straight?

TIA

N00b, one precedes the other near the beginning of one of the sequences. You seem to have made an unwarranted leap from the first to the fourth, according to my solution

Thank you, I have reverse engineered a bit and your help has pushed me over the line.

Thanks Quisling

It took me a long time to find the way into this puzzle, but I now have a full grid and the message. Using the message, I have identified three numbers which seem to fit the requirements, but they are parts of sequences much shorter than seven. Two of my numbers are in the grid in plain sight and the third comprises two down entries. All have a floral connection. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
